Hi
I have two questions.

1. I am booked on a Jetstar flight and want to check in online, but can I still drop off my checked bags at the terminal even though I check in online?

2. On one of my Virgin Australia flights I have to stop in Sydney because there is no direct flight. Will my bags be checked through to the end?

The answer to 2 is yes, providing they are booked as one ticket.

Re the JQ checkin. If you checkin online & print out your boarding pass most airports have a dedicated online bag drop which will be shorter than the general checkin queue. Some airports have a queue host who can point you in the right direction.

It's amazing the amount of people who book online go to that queue & when asked by JQ "did you checkin online" reply with "yes we booked online".

Aim to get to the airport one hour prior to give you some time up your sleeve as JQ baggage close off 30 minutes prior to departure is strictly adhered to. Some folk arrive less than 30 minutes prior with a suitcase & when told the flight is closed reply "but I checked in online". Checking in online does not exclude you from the 30 minute baggage close off rule.
