If you’re thinking about redeeming your frequent flyer points to book an overseas trip, with borders reopening, a round-the-world ticket could be excellent value.
Multiple frequent flyer programs including Qantas Frequent Flyer, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer and Cathay Pacific Asia Miles offer special round-the-world award tickets (or multi-city tickets that can be used to fly around the world). These tickets offer lots of flexibility and multiple included stopovers. But they are often not much more expensive – and in some cases are the same price or even cheaper – than booking a simple round-trip award ticket from Australia to New York.
