  • Cash back limited to $100 per booking
  • Excludes Jetstar international flights

This offer is not as generous as it appears!

For example, a return economy ticket Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur (depart 3/9/10, return 13/9/10) flying Malaysian Airlines is currently $576.34 inc tax (sale fare) if booked directly with the airline.

Price for the same flights on Webjet comes to $630.70 inc tax (and inc webjet's $19.95 "Booking Price Guarantee" and $29.95 "Processing fee"). Take off 10% paypal rebate ($63.07), means you pay $567.63, i.e. only $9 less than the real fare. Hardly worth the trouble of paying through Paypal.

The offer may be worthwhile for other fares, but at best you'd only pocket $50 because of webjet's $50 fees that are built into their fares.

Agreed, the fees can be off-putting however it is worth checking to see if it works for your own circumstances.

I bought a fare to Thailand with them last year which came to $700 return with TG to BKK (after $150 cashback).

TG's website was selling it for hundred$ more :)

I thought it may be useful for the recent increase in LAN prices, however they don’t even give the option of LAN on the SYD-AKL route. Useless.
