Qantas
Platinum 1
Just completed an on-line survey that landed in my in-box this morning......QF have commission The Leading Edge to undertake the survey.

It may have just been my answers however, they seemed to be very interested in my opinion of VA and how long I've been Plat status, etc, etc.....right down to how long I've been a member.

Maybe nothing......I always get excited when a competitive market gets enhanced.

I have just completed a similar survey and was asked if I am a member of Velocity Rewards and the membership level. Funny thing was though that Platinum was not an option and Gold was the highest level available....

I only complete online surveys about airlines or hotels. I have been invited to a focus group next Monday evening in St Kilda...

We are BDA Marketing Planning, an independent strategy development and research company, and we would like to invite you along to a focus group being held next Monday in South Melbourne. We need you for around two hours and we will pay you $80 cash for your time. This is a great opportunity to have your say! The topic for discussion is media.

There are two groups being held on St Kilda Road in St Kilda on Wednesday 21 March at 6:00pm and 8.00pm. Should you wish to attend, please reply to this email, providing us with:...

In your email, please also answer the following question:
How often do you read the retail catalogues delivered to your mailbox? Select from the following options:
1. Never
2. Rarely
3. Sometimes
4. Frequently
5. Always

We would like to assure you that the focus groups are being conducted for research purposes only and at no time will anyone attempt to sell you anything as a result of your participation. You will remain anonymous and the research will be carried out in accordance with the Privacy Act. The insights we gain from talking to you will form a valuable part of the research, allowing us to understand your views and opinions for the development of strategies for our client....

I think the last survey I filled out was Priority Club where I was pretty critical of the HI in Beijing...

Pity I have to turn this down as I would have liked to find out who and what it was about.

These surveys must be very specific in their targetting: I "manage" 7 QFF accounts (mine, SWMBO, 3x spawn, and my both parents who are not internet savvy) and of the seven of us, they only chose to question the 82 year-old female about QF, why she uses them, what would make her recommend QF to others etc etc... Maybe AJ's going after the blue rinse market now??????

Might be a 'fetish" of his! Or he realizes that quite possibly suits the stigma of the board of directors... :D

Come to think of it the survey I completed was a different survey.

I believe I have received the same survey as the OP twice now as I did not complete it the first time around.

I was pleased to received this survey, too (21 yr old, gay male, WA, gold status - in case this helps determine who is being sent the survey). I provided some honest feedback about why I prefer not to fly on legacy carriers, so I hope this is reviewed, and Qantas takes this into account when updating their fleet. I do not like dated 90s aircraft and wish lounges were more in the style of W Hotels. I would also like new European routes to be launched, as well as daily service to Sao Paulo, and for espresso machines and wifi to be installed on all domestic aircraft. I think it is also time for small dogs and/or cats to be permitted inside the cabin on domestic routes, as leaving animals in the baggage compartment is cruel. It would also be nice if award flights could be redeemed with much shorter notice. I currently have 200,000 ff points which I'd like to use on a j flight to LAX, but I honestly can't believe that I am expected to book this nearly 12 months in advance. Unbelievable. I was seriously told this.

Pets and children should have their own cabin, and there should be commercial kitchens installed just behind the overwing exits to cater for vegetarian dogs.

Is this survey week? Just arrived by email
