Welcome support(?)

I've noticed that a new Administrator has appeared AFF, with the handle support. (Not really that new, join date is May 2011).

Seeing as there is no topic in Community Announcements, I'm just wondering is support a new person (and if so, care to let us get to know you better?), or is it the current mods just wearing a slightly different hat when they need to?

I've noticed support has contributed one opinionated post out of four so far; the rest are "housekeeping" posts.

Yes, we do have a "new" member who goes by the handle support. The role of support is to assist me (ie. admin) in the administration of AFF.

You may well get a PM from support regarding an administration query, or you might see a post from support about an AFF administrative matter - but that will be about it. support is not a contributing AFF member, instead he performs a vital administrative role.

And yes, the real person behind support is one of our mods (straitman). But the roles are seperate: straitman is moderator and contributes to AFF, support helps administer the site.
