My Mum was flying QF 802 this afternoon from Perth when she felt most unwell...The crew were fabulous in assisting her and an on board Doctor was superb in providing her medical support...She had low blood pressure and was feeling faint...On arrival into Melbourne Qantas had an ambulance waiting and her luggage was expressed delivered to her home...Cant thank Qantas enough and very happy to say Well Done Qantas...Would never consider flying with any other airline...By the way Mum is fine and looking forward to her 85th birthday in January.

Great to hear that the onboard and ground crew (and Baggage) all came together for your mother and she's okay now as well.

Wonder if QF has also thanked the Doctor for lending their medical expertise.

The going rate is (usually) a bottle of the best wine onboard.

And if you're on a Qantaslink 717..... you're out of luck, best on board may be a 187ml bottle of Wirra Wirra :D

And on that note... time to board the plane!

Have sent the crew recommendation thru as well as phoned the airport manager...Dave, a great bloke and the Doc who attended Mum got 2 bottles of wine for his efforts...Have a daughter and son inlaw who are Docs and they also received wine and a business class upgrade from Singapore to London last year...Some Medicos when travelling dont highlight their professional qualifications but when the request is made they immediately jump in to help...Again a wonderful result from Qantas and Mum is looking forward to flying with them again in February

Internationally it's a bottle of the Dom P from first plus a follow up phone call from the PR department - all very deserved.
Not always. In my case a bottle of red from the J list and a QF watch.no follow up.
