Be interesting to know how they plan to have pax bring their own water bottle on board a flight HKG to Australia, where LAG checks are done on the bridge prior to boarding. Bring an empty bottle and fill-on-board? And then perhaps they can save money on emptying waste tanks by asking pax to take their bottle home "full" too?
 
of course they are serious... and NO this is NOT CX issue - this is HK government thing! I rarely defend this airline but this has NOTHING to do with them and cost cutting! this has EVERYTHING to do how incompetent this HK government is!
