Points Club - What date do points take effect? Post or Activity Date?

Hi All,

Curious for the purposes of Points Club that require either 150,000 or 350,000 points in a membership year - What date do the points actually count from? Is it the date that they post into your account or the activity date?

I ask because I have a few large purchases that I can make via QF Shopping, however my PC+ membership year re-commences on 1 Apr and I'd like the purchases to count towards renewal. Usually QF shopping (via these merchants) take 6-8 weeks for points to post....so I can buy today and the points will post in mid April. Just not sure when they actually count from....

Any ideas?

For Points Club attain/retain, activity date is what matters.

Any transactions I’ve had that posted in a new membership year but with an activity date from the previous year have not added to my new year totals.

If staring down the end of your membership year, QF shopping is probably the least reliable option to grab some extra points.

QF Wine - usually a couple of days.
AirBnB - also a few days post check (allow a week)
QF Hotels - 4 wks from checkout

That’s assuming you’ve maxed out flying quota.

If it’s a small amount, buying QF points count.
