Hi guys.

I've heard American Express is not a credit card but a charge card. What is the difference between these types of cards?

Excluding specific reward schemes, what are the advantages of American Express & Diners Club over credit cards?

Thanx 4 looking.

American Express offer both Charge Cards and Credit Cards. They each have different benefits and you can read about the different card benefits at their web site.

A Charge Card must have the statement total amount paid in full by the statement due date. There is no option to carry part of the payment over until the next month. If not paid in full, you will receive a very large fee for failing to pay.

A Credit Card allows a minimum monthly payment amount to be made and interest is charged on any unpaid component.
