What is the Earning Period for Velocity Status Qualification?

Anybody know what actual time the SCs expire? Ie, if earned on 15 May, do they expire the following year at 2359 14 May, or 2359 15 May, or something else? Im one flight away from Platinum and flying on the 15th - just wondering if I’m going to make it!

Status Qualification evaluated daily is based on earn for the previous 365 days (watch out for leap years).

Your Status Credits balance is calculated daily on a rolling basis according to Status Credits earned in the previous 365 days.

Now, I do not have any experience with earning so tight timewise but the wording would indicate that on May 16th 2023, earn in the 365 days prior to that (May 16th 2022-May 15th 2023) would be considered.

Having indicated that, I'd suggest calling Velocity. They have had a reputation of being flexible when it come to such things.

With Virgin, its a circle, probably as mentioned above, 365 days, does not rely on a fixed date/month, or year, without a fixed date.
With Qantas, its a fixed date when you will lose your status, ie, drop one tier, and the SC earn drops off your account, its your anniversary of joining QFF.
QFF does have lifetime status though, which VFF does not.

Didn't really want to start a new thread but the plan is for my daughter and I to family pool to wife to try and get double Gold in the family.

Wife has never earned SCs on her own as always familly pooled to me. I cannot see any status expiry dares on her account so assuming if she starts earning SCs in January she'll have 12 months to earn 500 SCs?

She should be able to earn Gold by July 2024 anyway but don't want any surprises of missing out.
