Have booked FASA SYD-SIN-SYD (QF1 & QF2) for early May, when I tried to book connecting flights from BNE the system knocked all the cheap F seats out:!:

I want to take advantage of the DSC offer and since I have free time on the day of departure & arrival I'm geared up to do some juicy JASA.

Interested in getting some ideas:cool:
Can I link/merge bookings in case of delays & if all booked on QF does it matter anyway:?:
I want to be in the Flounge at least 4 hours before takeoff:mrgreen:

Cheers

4+ Hours of Flounging? - in that case OLCI / HLO are your basic friends.

If you have separate connecting booking on Qantas, they have the right to tell you where to go should you misconnect, but in practice they generally assist WP's as much as possible.

No you can't, but I've done 2 JASAs and 1 FASA to HKG to take advantage of the double SC offer, and I had no problems booking the positioning JASAs on separate PNRs. Just make sure you don't cut the transfer times too close ...

OLCI & HLO is assured - have a one day meeting & then back home.

I've come down to two JASA options:-

Option 1

BNE-SYD-CBR-SYD - scheduled arrive SYD 10.45 (for my QF1 SYD-SIN 16.10, Flounge visit)...cost $280 and 32,000 points - earns 120SC.

I'm keen to take this as it cost less points than option 2 & earns more SC. However, I'm unsure about missing the return CBR flight, the CBR-SYD flight shows QF rather Qantas Link.

If I miss the QF connection will they automatically put me on Qantas Link & if so will I still earn J SC on a dash 8 all economy flight?

OPTION 2

BNE-MEL-SYD cost $160 and 40,000 points - earns 100SC.

I'm planning to do the same on the return thus getting WP status sorted until March 2014:mrgreen:

If Option 1 fails on the connection, then Original Routing Credit are the magic words.

What's the turn around and is the CBR-SYD aircraft showing as a 737? Could it be the same aircraft?

Good thinking 99.

QF787 SYD-CBR arrives 9.15 - 737
QF704 CBR-SYD departs 9.55 - 737

Ah, The connection is a bit tight to be the same, I would guess. Even if my delayed SYD-ADL flights seems to have about the same allowance. I had a quick look at the Jet tracker and Flight Tracker on The Qantas Source and there is no apparent connection between the 2 flights. Part A then - ORC.
