What time of day are seats released?

Hi everyone, I'm new here having been directed here from another travel forum.
I'm hoping someone can help me with what might be a silly question.
I'm wondering what time of the day seats are released for frequent flyer bookings for international flights (USA). For example, say today they are taking bookings for upto 22 July 2012. What time tomorrow will seats be released for 23 July. Is it midnight, 7am, 9am?
Hope someone can help. We are looking for 5 seats early August next year and I want to be prepared so that I can give us the best chance of getting seats.

Don't take this as the absolute truth, but it appears to be in line with GMT. At the very least it is a "morning after" thing going by previous experience.

But if you are trying to pick up multiple seats during peak times then I would try regularly from midnight onwards, just to be sure.

For Online bookings it actually does relate to Midnight UTC, so for Winter in Sydney it's 10am and 8am for Perth. (During summer it's 11am in Sydney.)

There are reports of award seats being available earlier than that on the same calendar day, but you need to call and wear the "assisted award booking fee" charge as well.
