Have a few QF flights coming up in June and am thinking that I may as well blow some QF points on upgrade attempts. Trying to decide what's better value:

1. Business to First LHR-SIN 35,000 points A380 day
2. Business to First SIN-SYD 25,000 points A380 day
3. Disc Econ to Business SIN-SYD 40,000 points 744 o/night

On the one hand I think upgrading to a pitched seat in option 3 is a bit of a waste as in my experience I still can't sleep on an angle anyway. But otherwise it's trading a flat bed for a better flat bed, and may not even sleep in option 2. I've experienced all classes before so nothing will be new, albeit luckily not too much longhaul economy in recent history. Any advice? I am QF Silver BTW so I understand the chances of any of them may be slim.

I'd definitely go with the A380 and "value for money" for me would be SIN-LHR. IME the chances are better for an upgrade from J than disc Y to J.

Of course this is very much a personal choice thing.
