lots of low post count users coming through in the last week??
i may be wrong?

whos been spamming? :o

I think I've seen the forum mentioned a couple of times in the feedback on Qantas' latest changes.

yeah, I think there has been a bit of media focus on AFF recently relating to the Qantas FF program changes. I am sure it will settle down in time. Newbies are always welcome - we were all new once  . Hopefully some will remain and contribute positively to the community.

Strangely enough I had been watching the member count info on the discussion forum index page since I joined. i.e. No of registered users, last new registration, who's logged on now, etc.

When I first registered on this site some 24 days ago I was about the 690th registration.

This crept up bit by bit until in topped the 700 mark around the 21st November.

In the week after the 24th November QANTAS 'announcment' nearly another 100 registrations occurred, and as I write this it has gone up to 820.

I guess it may be closely related to QANTAS's frequent flyer progam changes and this site is a good source for info relating to these.

The more, the merrier, I say. With numbers moving towards 900, and beyond, we may be able to utilise the numbers to put pressure on QF.

I doubt any "pressure" will force Qantas to alter in way, shape or form what they want to do.

If you look closely at the Terms and Conditions....

It is a very well worded legal statement of position. Qantas have made us all 'agree' to the T&Cs.... otherwise, we are not Members of their QFF Program.

The T&Cs state: that Qantas can scrap the whole Program if they want... that Qantas can amend any rule, or alter the Program in any direction etc. etc.

We have no possible action to take against Qantas whatsoever. Other than, to 'take it, or leave it'.

I'll get used to it... as a low volume flyer, I've got nowhere else to go!
Plus, I paid for a Life Membership of the QC....

regards,
