Apologies as I have obviously missed the "enhancement". Either that or I can't remember.

I was flying MEL-BNE last week and had golf clubs, bag and laptop bag with me. At check-in counter I asked to check-in the golf clubs and carry bag. Together they were <20kgs. She did take a while to get me on an earlier flight and print baggage tags and then asked me to wait.

Apparently a Gold on a Saver fare I am entitled to one piece only. She did override the fee but wanted to confirm with her supervisor. I was quite happy to take small carry bag on board but she said not to worry.

I may have been on a Saver Lite fare. How do I check now? The check-in agent did not mention Saver Lite. She mentioned Saver.

But I think I remember those changes now when they introduced Saver Lite.

John given that you posted on the other thread that your fare was $79 OOL-SYD I suspect you had a saver lite fare.
Receiving fly ahead, flexi meal, a couple of beers and the luggage for your $79 I think you received very good service and recognition of your gold status?

I wasn't complaining. ;)

I was a little confused about the baggage allowance as I had taken golf clubs and carry bag in the past and it was never an issue. I must pay attention more often.
