When is on time really late?

On time is not twenty minutes late in my book, wish my collegue was not on DJ913

I believe it is defined as plus or minus 5 minutes by BITRE for stats. But yes, it is frustrating the way the airlines interpret it!

Ahh, but being a railway man you may have a different definition of on time :)

according to my boss,,, if he's in the boardroom for an 8 am meeting and you're not... you're late...

Interesting you mention rail. I found this when I was catching NSW Countrylink a fortnight ago-doesn't make pretty reading

Which brings out the old narrow gauge Ghan which ran at 40km/h from Adelaide to Alice Springs and if arrived on the correct day was deemed on time and did run days late.

Conductor; Madam, you should not have got on the train in this condition.
Woman; Sir, when I got on the train I was not in this condition.
