When to request seat allocation

Howdy all

Have got 3 business class seats booked on a BA flight syd-bkk in Jan 08. Just wondering when I can ring up the airline and request a seating allocation? Is there a minimum like 6 months before departure date?

There is no limit on how long before a flight you can request seats to be allocated.

Not sure about travellers with no status, but if ou have some sort of status with Oneworld why not edit your itinerary on the BA website and choose the seats you want. Sit together or as far apart as possible in the business cabin....

Was able to log onto the BA site and get upper deck seats.

One tip - I would check back occasionally to make sure you have not been shifted seats. It happens occasionally.
