I've been trying to score a LON-PER reward in early November for a while, and have noticed a few oddities in the booking process. There's nothing whatsoever showing for LON-DXB, and the booking engine doesn't even recognise DOH as a potential origin for leg1 of a multi city.

Possibly of more interest though is the 'where can I go' tool, which does show Emirates flights out of LON for points, and also shows a LON-BNE in my target date range. Looking closer it's (sadly) on BA, and is LHR-SIN-SYD-BNE. What's strange is the LHR-SIN-SYD by itself isn't available, so I guess I'd have to go carry on only if I took that option.

Weirdly the 'Where can I go' doesn't show a bunch of JAL/RJA/MH options I found in the multi city tool just doing repeated searches.

Anyone have any insights into how to find all available reward seats in one spot? Is it possible to book oneworld partner airlines or EK on their websites using QF points?

Cheers.

Finding award seats is a fine art. I would say the Qantas website is one of the better ones on a global scale. If they made it any easier then the seats would sell out even faster. My only suggestion is to keep checking if you can spare the time, award seats may open up at random times.

Edit: the only place you can use your Qantas points is on the Qantas website or call centre.

Some tips:
1. Search regularly (ie every day).
2. Search both direct (ie LHR-PER) as well as all ports through which QF reward partners (ie oneworld & Emirates) connect (eg SIN, HKG, DXB, DOH) using the multi-city tool (eg LHR-DXB then DXB-PER).
3. Repeat step 2 with flights to other Australian ports then adding a domestic connection (eg LHR-DXB then DXB-ADL then ADL-PER).

Anyone got thoughts on the no EK flights in the 'book flights' or 'multi city' but some presenting in the 'where can i go'? Or inability to search for flights originating from DOH?
