OK, so I admit it's been a while since I've flown J. Did a JASA last week from Melb to Per to get me to SG (thanks to the collective intel on this site). On boarding (after 4pm and via the PB lane thank you very much), I expected a glass of bubbly on offer but no, it was water or juice !

Ah, has there been alcohol offered as a matter of course (on either major airline) domestically in business prior to departure?

Not in J...however. Today on a 12:30 flight out of PER they were serving complimentary alcohol up to row 27 on an A330. Everyone behind had to pay. A WP benefit?

Unfortunately no.

On my first domestic flight in J I was expecting a glass of bubbly prior to take off.

I asked the hostie for one and was promptly hissed at!!!

Not plat yet. But flew Y ( admittedly on a TT flight) and he FA brought us a glass of French bubbles prior to takeoff. ......nice one QF.
