Presently undecided on how to best spend on a must do trip in late Aug between SIN and BNE/SYD, so here are the variables in order of priority (IMHO)

- My better half has mentioned J seat a must on the overnight flight
- Collect as many FF points as possible for our EOY segment redemption in Asia
- Pax: 2 x adults and 3 x children (2 - 5)

Option A:
- EY J return between SIN and BNE + VA Y return between BNE and SYD
- This would have been the option if VA and EY did not drop points collected per mile to 1.3

Option B:
- BA T return between SYD or BNE + VA Y return between SYD and BNE
- Arrange a one way upgrade to J with BA on OZ inbound leg, this seem an option via BA's website, however every time i go with the option the booking process just dies

Both options cost ~15K SIN, decisions, decisions.

Comment and remarks much appreciated!

What ff program are you looking to earn points in? Velocity?

obv. i've killed this question with my other one on earning SCs/FF Points > 1 seat per Pax. :)

in answering your question serfty, either velocity or QF returned similar redeemed miles per segment in Asia with CX or SQ.

if you can close or lock this thread as the question is no longer relevant, given i managed to achieve "poor man's" bed like travel with multiple seat per passenger at ~half the price.
