Why am I losing my selected seat?

So after going to Gold for the first time ever yesterday, my last 2 flights until now, plus the one I'm about to board where all selected in the back of the J cabin. Have now been moved to row 1 on each flight.

Not that this is bad lol, just surprising.

Normal?

Have 7 legs to go, all in the next 2 weeks which will get me platinum :)

does your seating preference reflect 'rear cabin' rather than forward? Maybe QF is trying to be helpful :) (or shield you from lowly golds...)
