So glad to see a thread on this! I thought I was going crazy with the same sort of problems on my phone using Chrome despite clearing cache. I could never seem to predict when it wasn't going to work. Using Chrome on a laptop was fine.

Have tried incognito browsing now and seems to be doing the trick
