Hi everyone,
I was wanting to find out why no points can be awarded for those cheap seats on Jetstar ($79 etc..) I know points can be earnt on JetFlex and Star Class, but I find it pointless paying sometimes 3 times the price just to earn the points.
My closest airport is Newcastle, and as such only have access to Jetstar and Virgin (Melb-Bris-Gold Coast).
Does anyone else feel as though points should be awarded for the cheap seats on Jetstar, even if it is capped, at say 500 points per flight (less than the 1000 point cap on short Qantas flights)??
My understanding is that Frequent Flyer and other such programs aim to create consumer loyalty, but for someone like me, what is the point?
Any ideas and explanations would be great
