Last year i was in rome and was easily able to find a business J rewards back to Bangkok with RJ. This year I was struggling to find the flights i need and thankfully I was aware of the flight route which was no longer findable in a single search (FCO-BKK) instead as a 2 step search (FCO-AMM) and (AMM-BKK).

Any reason why qantas would omit this in a single booking? The time seems plenty..

Can you actually book it?

It could be that RJ is restricting FCO-BKK and doesn’t want to sell it as a through award.

That looks like a QF e-ticket. I'm not sure if QF is deliberately withholding these routes or if it's just a quirk of the search engine. You sometimes need to coerce it to go via AMM, CMN, CMB, etc to show you options with some of the lesser known partners.

I did book it as a multi leg booking and its ticketed. Its just strange it doesnt work as a single FCO-BKK booking anymore. On purpose or not, who is to know. I was mainly worried something was up and it shouldnt be done but theres plenty of hours to spare.

I assume this is under the same ticket number so my bags will flow through to bangkok?
