Executive traveller reported change in aircraft from A350 to 777 with first class:
Just checked on the AA website, seems there is virtually at least 1 seat in First Class every day of the month of February and March next year on Hong Kong to London and London to Hong Kong. Great use of alaska miles or asia miles.

Some single seats showing on QF also.

Was at pains to quote this article much earlier today and thought better of it rather than give ET some more clicks. But now that’s it’s here, it’s available from early December and from my research available across most (if not all) OW carriers with varying points/surcharges and taxes.

As usual, Qantas is among the absolute worst for surcharges. They’re like scalpers festering at the naivety of their membership base.

Sorry guys haha, some have a stronger will than others to resist the powers of ET!
Product being flown from 5th of Dec out of HK and from the 6th out of London but it seems award space is only plentiful in Feb or March.
This reminds me of the good old days when Hong Kong banned fuel surcharges! But alas, 2018 was a bygone era, for surcharges and for the city as a whole.

Where are you finding availability? Is it through American Airlines website?
Yes AA website, HKG-CDG or vice versa. Use the flexible calendar and filter by First class only. Still some dates available.
