Is anyone else having wierd options come up when they are trying to book award flights?

Last night I was looking at MEL-LAX for the 2nd last week of Feb. Lots of options, no worries.

I've come on today to book and there are no options and on the days that there are it is doing LAX - NADI - SYD - MEL etc.

Does this happen often or have I missed out on my chance? I find it strange that all options can basically disappear overnight!

It could be that although many options were appearing that only 1 or 2 awards seats were available and these have now been booked. Don't forget that this is one of the most popular QF destinations and very hard to get award seats at such short notice and your dates may need to be flexible.

I have just tried to make a dummy booking for economy MEL-LAX-MEL on QF93/QF94 and chose random dates departing Sun 18 Feb and returning Sun 25 Feb and had no problem with availability. There are also flights from MEL-BNE-LAX and LAX-HKG-MEL.

What is your QF FF status?

It's all come back to normal - 21st of Feb LAX - Mel *phew* I think this one stops in Auckland?

(I am really short on time so I need the shortest possible route!) :) :)

Depends. If it's QF 26 it stops in Auckland. If it's QF 94 it's non-stop.

They arrive within 5 minutes of each other (but of course the non-stop leaves 2hrs 45 mins later than the Auckland one).
