Hi everyone,

I know with the Any Seats Awards flights, Qantas members can earn both points and Status Credits. How about the Classic Awards flight?

Thank you in advance.

Sorry Fed - but as shown in the T&C on the website, a freebie it is, no other gains from it.

... but, if there's classic award availability you can often find an any seat award for around the same cost.

For example, here's a Sydney to Singapore trip as a classic award. It costs 30,000 plus $127.58 - except you don't earn any points or status credits:

Because there's classic availability, you can then get it as an any seat award rather cheap. As an ASA it costs 30,000 points plus $178.26 (or 46,304 all inclusive):

And of course, doing it as an ASA means you also earn points and status credits per the following table:

I haven't booked a classic QF award since the ASA rules were changed earlier this year :)

Thank you samh004 and JetLagged for the information.

Thank you Ewing for the detailed demonstration, it's very much appreciated:)
