Hi guys, pretty simple question that may have been answered elsewhere. Does anyone know if VA plans to change the bare bones of Velocity in any way with Sabre now introduced.
I only ask as I've just been on the phone with Velocity, and noting that bookings now allow my title thought I would ask if it could be changed on the velocity account. I was told that the systems were different and no I could not, as Velocity did not and was not getting that capability. This made me wonder if VA is going to remain not entirely integrated.
There would be a few things I'd like to see, or that I had heard on the rumour mill would happen (Like being able to select separate seating preferences for domestic and international flights, store CC details - and of course getting my title correct). Though I guess the most useful thing would be being able to bypass the call centres for things like 2-4-1 flights or complex redemptions.
I'd just assumed Velocity infrastructure was being modernised as part of this changeover. It seems to be largely unchanged and even more separate from the booking system than it was before. Not a big issue, just something I found interesting.
