have booked a Y fare to SIN to get me to VA Gold - wondering if I can use SQ lounge in SYD and Krisflyer Gold lounge in SIN, or if i need to have a 'proper' gold membership?

cheers

Are you Pilot gold currently?

If so, do you have a card showing that (or just Gold) status?

I'm pretty sure the system treats it like a standard gold membership except with a different validity period and requalification criteria

yep card and luggage tags turned up about a week ago, doesn't say "pilot" anywhere on the card - just gold. so guessing i'll just be another VA Gold to them = good news!

Yes, just keep your card with you and make sure the Velocity number is in the booking.

I had no trouble accessing NZ lounges in New Zealand with "Explore Gold" status. I didn't even need to show my Velocity card - VA Gold appeared on the boarding pass.
