Win a chance to compete in the Lexus Celebrity Challenge

Seeing we have a few petrolheads here, plus a few of you have expressed interest in another F1 competition, thought you might be interested in a sneak preview of a competition we're about to launch (admin has given permission).

We are giving a Qantas Frequent Flyer the chance to be in the driver's seat and compete in the Lexus Celebrity Challenge in Melbourne at the 2011 Formula 1™ Qantas Australian Grand Prix. In addition, the prize also includes:

• Driver training prior to the event
• 2 Qantas Economy fares from your nearest capital city
• 6 nights of accommodation at the Crown Metropol, including airport transfers to/from Melbourne Airport
• Invitations for you and a guest to exclusive events, including a Welcome coughtail Function, the Government House Reception and dinner for two at Maze Restaurant

To enter and compete, the winner must be available for all days between the 21st to the 27th of March 2011 inclusive and be over 18 years of age with a full drivers license.

To win, simply tell us in 50 words or less, why you should be our celebrity driver. The answer judged to be the most compelling answer will win.

Given AFFers are amongst the fastest to post special FF offers online, we thought we'd be proactive with this one. I'll have a link to the entry form available tomorrow, but in the meantime, feel free to start thinking about your potential entry.

I must admit, it wouldn't be the first time someone on AFF worked out a URL

Great competition, although sadly I have to work so can't enter... Convincing sister to enter and win for me I also like the terms and conditions restricting entry to those who don't have a CAMS licence - keep those non-rookies out!
If we win and already have Qantas flights booked, will you refund the non-prize fares without cancellation fee? :mrgreen:

I'd love to win this having tried to get into the celebrity race in Adelaide many years ago. Unfortunately I can only think of boring and predictable reasons. There is also work to consider.

Just to confirm, this does include a pass for the winner and their guest from Thursday to Sunday at the event.

Shame about the CAMS requirement - was very keen to enter this competition but am ineligible as I hold a CAMS licence.

Seems a funny restriction - prevent those who have a proven interest (though previous competition) in motorsport from entering a motorsport-related competition. I guess you don't want the lucky punter to show up any of the celebs.
