Wine freight advice

Hello AFF brains trust. Can anyone recommend a company/method for wine freight please? I'm looking at 3-4 dozen bottles interstate. I've googled without much luck and would appreciate any advice.

Australia Post is about $190 per carton unless you are a major player. QF Freight seems to be about $80 per carton as are one or two courier companies. There doesn't seem to be a specialist player in the market.

Most wine vendors have a delivery deal. Can you use their freight option as that should work out at about $40 for the quantity you are moving.

Sorry, I should clarify, this is wine that's already been delivered. It's in my cellar. I need to move it - in my case to a relative interstate.

Have you tried contacting the original wine vendor as they have a deal and you are still their customer? If you pay them their cost plus a profit I know they should be able to help you.

This is probably of little use - but I have moved quite a bit of wine about as checked luggage on Qantas into and out of DRW - it's always arrived in one piece (even just in the box in usually comes in with no additional packaging).
