Wine Tasting in our Adelaide Lounge Friday July 15th

[Virgin Australia]

Seaview winemaker Peter Munro will be in the Virgin Australia Adelaide Lounge this Friday 15th July 11 and will be hosting an informal talk and tasting session before he heads off on holidays.

For those in Adelaide with an interest in wine-making should put in their diaries for Friday 10:30am - 11:30am.

All Lounge members, as well as our other Lounge eligible guests are invited to attend. Guests not eligible, are able to pay a casual entry at the door. QF Platinum, Gold and Chairman card holders, regardless of whether they are flying on Virgin Australia are welcome to attend also.

The team would love to see you there!


NOTE: This quarter sees added to our Lounges wine selection, two great Seaview wines:

Vermentino – Light dry style that sits between Sauvignon Blanc and Unwooded Chardonnay. Ripe citrus, green apple and balanced acidity.

Sangiovese – the grape used in Chianti – cherry and berry fruits, hint of chocolate and sweet spice, silky tannins. Great with antipasto.

Hey VA.......can I have a gripe?

I really miss the Lindemans Early Harvest Semillon Sauvignon Blanc (at least I think that what it was ). Nothing beats relaxing back in the Lounge pre-flight, but when we have to drive at the other end, a really nice tasting but lower alcohol wine was really appreciated by me, at least!


Any chance of a return?

Adelaide lounge hasn't been refurbished yet so I wouldn't expect Melbourne material at this stage (Photo gallery: Virgin Australia's new Melbourne airport lounge now open - Flights | hotels | frequent flyer | business class - Australian Business Traveller) However, much quieter and more civilized than the QP (ie. the occupants don't swarm around the food area like bees at the sight of honey when food is brought out)

Quiet and civilized sounds nice! I wonder if they'll let me stay in the lounge after the event to do some work on my laptop. I'm keen to see what the food there is like!

The current range features a low alcohol (9%) NZ Sav Blanc for that very reason.

I got here a little early and am enjoying it so far - have had a chai from their barista and taken a museli, a muffin and an orange juice. I'm considering having a muffin too because it's been a while since I last had one!
