A thought I just had, with the split of QF Dom and QF Int, are we likely to see more Domestic flights leaving from International terminals, an unchanged number of DOM Flights leaving from INT or a reduced (or none at all) DOM flights leaving from INT terminals.
The way I see it is
More DOM Flights from INT
QF INT may not be overly happy with directing pax onto DOM services, as such they may want to keep pax within the INT business as long as possible, therefore we may see some more continuations of INT flights Domestically to keep pax with the INT business.
An unchanged number
QF INT may decide to continue the DOM from INT flights, purely as a aircraft positioning activity.
Reduced \ No DOM Flights from INT
QF INT may be told "You can only operate INT routes" and thus have contractual obligations against running any sort of DOM operations. For all DOM flights which involve re-positioning an aircraft they can only run them as ferries \ staff relocation flights (so no paying pax)
Anyone care to guess what the future of these lovely DOM from INT flights are?
