Okay, I am seriously impressed. Impressed enough to make a post that says how seriously impressed I am.

I just downloaded the World Lens (YouTube - Introducing Word Lens) iPhone app and downloaded the Spanish-to-English dictionary on it.

Then I printed off some pages of Spanish text, held my iPhone up to it and - hey presto, it was instantly translated to English.

That's not technology, that's magic.

Now i just need to book a trip to South America so I can wander around holding my iPhone up to street signs and menus!

I saw this the day it was released and mentioned it to trippin_the_rift, who also has it. It is very good, though there are some bugs, like Espanol translates as English ;)

Haha, yes, I noticed that!!

Wish they'd had it when I was in Spain mid-year, however I hope with their influx of cash they'll look at other language packs.
