Would like to hear peoples experiences of positioning flight to SIN then Turkish Business to LHR

Happy saturday everyone!
Because prices to London with QF are insane around Christmas time I've booked a return flight with QF BNE-SIN then want to book a J flight thru to Heathrow. Turkish have some amazing deals but I believe its still on their 777 2/4/2 seating config. Sometimes it says the 787 then flip flops back to the 777.
Is Turkish worth it thru to London? Or even etihad have some deals as well as emirates.
Any advice would be great.
Also - I worry that by taking two airlines would it confuse things when getting back to australia - quarantine etc because you've been via a second country, not just SIN?

I have flown Turkish J CDG - IST and IST - FRA. The flights may have been on a 777 but I can't be certain now.
2 things I can say though is that the service on both flights was outstanding and the lounge in IST just newly opened, was fabulous. My only regret is that Turkish don't fly to Australia.

Agree with Buzzard - can't go wrong with Turkish in terms of service and their IST lounges. The seating on the 777 will be 2-3-2 rather than 2-4-2. Not as private as reverse herringbone seats but no issues with narrow leg-wells as all seats face fully forward. 787s and A350s have different seating (staggered or reverse herringbone). An advantage of TK is that connecting flights in Europe are usually proper business class seats (2+2) rather than economy with a middle seat blocked, or to places like LHR are actually operated by widebodies with full flats.

Just check the fare conditions... some of the ultra-low J class fares out of Asia - not just on TK but others as well - are completely non-refundable.

Be very careful with the connections you try to connect up in SIN, particularly on separate tickets and on different airlines. SIN has some very restrictive transit rules and as it stands, QF-TK is not permitted.

In case you're still needing encouragement, you can't go wrong on long haul Turkish. Superb in every respect.

Transit in Singapore is very restricted. At present you can't enter Singapore without going into SHN (quarantine) for 7 days.
Not sure two separate bookings is a good idea.

Of course this could change by the time you fly, but too big a risk at the moment.

Also, see if you can get a status match to TK Miles & Smiles (?) program. It's easy to get *A Gold with TK ...

TK has a limited number of narrow bodies - both boeing and airbus with all 3+3 seating, and business is a blocked middle. But the most common configuration these days, especially for bigger European cities is 2+2. Several of their major cities get widebodies on at least one or more of the daily flights. Certainly worth checking the individual seat maps for the flight during the booking process.
