Hi

Having made WP for the first time, I'd love to try out the F-lounge in Sydney. I do very little international flying, so my first opportunity will be a flight to AKL a week before Christmas. My wife and I will be travelling in Y with our 3 kids, 12, 10 and 4.

Will we be allowed access to the F-Lounge? I'd appreciate any thoughts.

Thanks

Assuming you're the only person flying with WP status I reckon you're pushing it.

Two not so young children might just be a little too much. Maybe you could ring them before hand and ask if it is possible?

Probably a better idea is to post your flight numbers in the relevant monthly lounge access thread and see if anybody else is flying at the same time who might be able to assist.

You won't have a problem. Kids under ~12 don't count towards your guest limit.

Oh really? I thought that was only with Virgin. My understanding of the rules is that it's kids under 3. Am I just really out of date?

I'm WP, Shrek WP also never had any problem bringing in 4 kids to FLounge.
A work colleague who is also WP, partner NB recently took her 4 kids and partner into SYD FLounge.
YMMV, if I were you I would book a room at the lounge prior to arrival.
Takes the stress out of Flounging with kids ;)

Should also say I think the ( unofficial) QF policy is that dependent children ie. under 18 and therefore not able to join QP will be allowed in at dragon's discretion.
Would be nice if they made it official.

Thanks very much for the comments, it sounds like it is work a go. It'd be a shame to route BNE-AKL via SYD and then be declined lounge access!

Thanks again

David
