WSI for Western Sydney Airport

I don't have an issue with a second airport just the absolutely useless location of such.
You know as well as every other Sydney sider that we weren’t exactly spoilt for choice for sites for a 2nd airport.

You and I won’t be rushing there when it opens but many can’t wait!

Only the Eastern Suburbs is really Sydney I think is the conclusion we're at :p
Not at all; and no one has stated such.

"Everything past the Anzac Bridge is Western Sydney" has become "Anything past the Anzac Bridge ISN'T Sydney" 😂
Well Given SYD is over the Anzac Bridge that clearly isn't the case.

Maybe instead of trying to be funny you should look at what has actually been said.

If you are more than 30kms from City of Sydney you know you aren't really in Sydney; no matter how much you try to extend greater Sydney to include regional areas like lower blue mountains, Richmond or Macarthur.

WSI is 60km from Martin Place - that is an absolute crazy distance.

JFK and LGA are both under 27kms from Manhattan. Even Newark which is in a whole different state is only 25kms away.

Just a tongue in cheek jab at the not uncommon arbitrary delineation and geographic blindness that goes on in Sydney 😉

While WSI might not be close for you, it'll be closer and more convenient for significant swathes of Western Sydney (Australia's 3rd largest economy) as well as major future growth areas, including Greater Sydney's 3rd CBD literally right on its doorstep

I think you need to check your maths on that.

Sydney CBD, North Sydney CBD, Chatswood, and Macquarie Business Park are all much closer to SYD than WSI. Even Paramatta CBD is closer to SYD than WSI.

A CBD at WSI is only a theory it doesnt actually exist. Like Avalon they think if they build it people will come, that is far from a certaity.

Perhaps you care to advise what major Australian companies or international companies with an Australian presence have their headquarters at Badgerys's Creek (or right next to WSI)? None that I (or google) seems to be aware of.

A warehouse or factory doesnt a CBD make.

Check my maths on what exactly?

I said significant swathes of Western Sydney would be closer to WSI. Sydney CBD, North Sydney CBD, Chatswood and Macquarie are not considered Western Sydney last I checked.

Bradfield is not theoretical, the master plan has been approved and construction has begun

That the 3rd largest CDB in NSW is right near WSI - that is just not true.

I listed all the largest CBDs in Sydney there is only one in the West and that is Paramatta which is closer to SYD then WSI.

There is no CBD at Badgery's Creek, someone has made a sales pitch, but there is no PT connecting it elsewhere nor major businesses head quartered there.

Seems you've misunderstood what I said. Bradfield will be Greater Sydney's third CBD. I didn't say it's Sydney's current 3rd largest CBD

The planning context around the airport and Aerotropolis is pretty clear and far developed beyond a "sales pitch"

If PT is your concern, the metro station under the future Bradfield CBD is literally under construction at the moment

45km.

But that's why we need a 2nd airport. Sydney is a very large and low density city.
Penrith has been 50km from SYD forever.. how did those people survive.
