I just booked a trip in Y+ on CX (MEL-FRA, LHR-MEL). I really enjoy QF Y+ but the price was 3500$ CX vs 6150$ QF. Now that I'm reading reviews online I'm wondering if I made the wrong decision. Is CX PE really that bad or the only difference is J-like food on QF in vs Y food on CX? Has anyone flown in the 4-class 747 in seats 30 H-K? They look like the best option in the cabin.

QF is definitely better, but it's not $2650 better. I'd say you made the right choice given the price difference.
I've only been on the A330 and the bulkhead seats are the best option there.
