Recieved this a few days ago.

Did yours state status credits as well or just points? I was going to give them a call... points I don't really care for as I mainly fly Qantas now, but if it's status credits too, i'll do some Virgin flights.

Hey.... I've dropped down to Red status. I was Gold, then Silver, now Red with Virgin. I changed firms and we fly Qantas instead so i've got Gold with them now.

I should have said, I did just fly V Australia from US to Aust a few weeks ago and got upgraded to Premium Economy. The flight was about a week before my Silver expired.

No, it is for flights in both directions.

I was quite interested when I received the email yesterday just as I was about to book a number of flights for work.

Unfortunately our BFOD policy meant all flights ended up on QF. They were about $20-30 cheaper on each sector and with each alternative DJ/QF flight leaving within 10 mins of each other, departure time was not an issue either.

[QF must be heavily discounting their already discounted contract rates in order to keep hold of government travel.]

You would think that ir would actually be the other way around. Send out the offer to those who do not fly often in the hope that they do a little more flying.

I wouldnt describe myself as either - but I do fly them when they provide the best value for money option!
