I was looking at the timer countdown for the catch of the day earlier and it had 2:08 to go. Now it has 16:23:02 to go and counting down.

Damnit. Missed it. I did see their last Antler sale. Did they any current/good ones? last time they had mainly the lesser-bought ones (suit bags/business rollers for documents) so I just bought one from luggagedirect.com.au (based in BNE but do free shipping). They stuffed up my address, but when they got it right, it reached me quickly. Were cheaper than any other online option I could find when I bought Antler.

Bought myself a 'flyweight' for $119 + 8.95 for freight (55 cms) seemed cheaper then anywhere on the net. they also sold, the Coda 4 $179, laser, zotec, zero, tronic and translite all from $79 to $99.

I'm still waiting too.
I contacted them and they apologised explaining that they were waiting on the products from Antler.
I've sinced recieved an email saying that the item has been dispatched (with a tracking number) but it still hasn't left the warehouse.

Actually, I have sent an email this morning saying that I would contact the consumer tribunal If it wasn't dispatched.

So they called me 30 mins ago!

I have ordered the 3 different size "Coda" and he said that the reason why they didn't deliver is because the small carry-on was not available in the same colour. So they refunded me the small one and dispatched the 2 others straight away.

Sometimes, to get things moving the only way is too threat!

I looked at the Antler Flyweight specs - for a carry on, there are three things that you need to consider in my opinion:

1. Weight - it is vital the bag is as light as possible to stay within the 7kg weight limits
2. Size - if you need to travel domestically and internationally, you probably want a bag that fits with the domestic size limits rather than the International ones
3. Volume - Obviously, you want to maximise what you can carry in your bag as much as possible.

So with the Flyweight - it is an International sized carry on that weighs 2.6Kg and has a volume of 29 litres.

Compare that with the Antler Translite which is a domestic size carry on that weighs 2.1 Kg and has a volume of 35 litres.

If you compare the prices; the Catch of the Day prices is great at $119 + postage... but not that great (IMO) when you compare with LuggageDirect's Antler Translite price of $109 with free postage.

I'll declare my bias now - I use the Translite (albeit the prior model) for all my luggage and think it's a great bag.
