It was very lucky the driver swerved right at the end, as I can't imagine driving full speed into the fuselage would have been wise.

Ouch, that looked really nasty, not sure what caused him to not notice the plane until the last moment.

I suspect he did not "swerve to the right" - he was sucked in. No tow so plane was moving using engines.

Might have been texting…

From the audio on one of the videos, it seems like the police were after them. I imagine that it was an unauthorised or inexperienced driver.

No regular airport worker would be likely to be so ignorant of safety. As Juddles mentions above, that van was almost sucked into the engine. That could have been a very nasty - and expensive - bingle, quite apart from the chance of an explosion and fire. We could easily have seen the loss of the aircraft and dozens if not hundreds dead.

I was sitting here wondering how the heck does someone drive into a plane or plane into a van. Didnt think of this so thanks!

If it was sucked into the engine the top of the car would have tilted to the right. It seems that it was actually tilting to the left as it was turning right into the engine. The car was still in the ground when it impacted the engine . Non accidental methinks.

has a medical incident (for example heart attack) been ruled out?

You'd be surprised. They simply seem to forget aircraft are there, or perhaps think that we are buildings (that move).

I heard it mentioned somewhere that this was actually attempted suicide.

If true, sad that they thought taking others out with them was the way to go (as I'd imagine driving into the fuselage/rupturing a fuel tank would have done). Plus even if they'd been the only one, seeing someone die through an engine would scar the passengers who bore witness.
