Ouch, hope you had insurance

The NT is the only part of Australia where travel agents dont need to be part of the Travel Compensation Fund!

What a nice person.

I'd like to take her on a little holiday. Maybe some deep sea fishing? Bring your own stove.

I wonder if my AMEX insurance would cover cough like that? These days though Travel Agents are not very useful in my book. Since the internet.

Or give her a pair of concrete boots?

It's the Northern Territory, a crocodile will visit her in the middle of the night.

Then it will make the front page of the local rag whose name I can't remember.

Given it's the NT, I'd say she'll one day walk into a pub and never walk out...

She must've reverted to her maiden name now. When she was Jennifer Heath I believe she sold a previous travel business to her brother Geoffrey for $1.00 who dabbled in travel for a while.

Yes she is the same person. Operating Travelscene under Pfitzner. As 2 of the 20 she scammed for around $200000, I can assure you she has gone into hiding. The police have been looking for her since she was reported to them in early January. We will probably loose in the end around $6500, insurances on credit cards do not cover this and the Credit card might only refund the last 3 months payments to her to the value of around $11000. Yes it was a big trip and a special one, it was not only the fact that we lost money, but the planning and organising that had been put into the trip. She will not win, we will have our holiday just 12 months later than planned. She knew exactly what she was doing right from the outset, we paid a deposit of $800 for the cruise and she only paid $400 to the Princess. We paid for airfares, she did not, then proceeded to take from us on a monthly basis until December when she verbally assured me that all was good, and to pay the final payment, which she stated had been paid. Low and behold nothing was. She will go down.

When the police catch up with her you might be able to get more back but it could be a long legal process as we all know the courts don't move quick.

Maybe one of her customers will find her before the police do and feed her to the crocs

I am also one of Ms Pfitzner's victims ($24,000.00) but probably not yet counted amongst the 20 as this news has broken since I have been away. We bought a holiday from her in july last year, she required full payment up front stating that our destination required that sort of advance confirmation. We discovered the ruse in September when we tried to upgrade our air travel and found it had not been paid for. We had to rebook ourselves and pay again to secure our holiday. Love to hear from any other victims.

I wonder what would happen if you were to Google her brother Geoffrey - you could possibly find contact details for him. Whether he knows the whereabouts of his sister is another ting altogether.

Have a look at the reader comments at the bottom of the article below - at least two people spotted her at the Parap Village Markets on Saturday.

I would also contact MP Jane Aagaard Labor member for Nightcliff as it was reported she was taking up the case for a couple of pensioners who lost money to this woman. Maybe she can get the ball rolling on behalf of everyone.

I think as many of you as possible need to get together to support each other as this whole situation would be ruining peoples' lives.

It's a wonder nobody has contacted A Current Affair by now. Certainly one this that is apparent is there is absolutely zero protection for people booking through NT Travel Agents.

Hi Firstly,
Hope you have provided the Fraud squad and consumer affairs of the theft of your monies. They are compiling documentation on all of Pfitzner's clients she has ripped off. NTNews 17/02/2012 just goes to prove that she really does not accept her wrong doing.
I am now hoping that now the police know she is still here, they will deal with her. We are still awaiting response back from AMEX as to how much they will refund, then it will be going through small claims court to retrieve the remaining monies. Alot of trouble to feed someones gambling habit. It would be nice to be able to take her to court for the full amount she took, rather than waiting for credit card refunds. The sooner she is dealt with and she feels as much pain and sorrow as she has caused us.
Don't delay ring the fraud squad today.

Hi Cruiser60,
I have not yet returned to Darwin from holiday so communications are a bit erratic. I will be back at end of month and will contact them then.

I have been in constant communication with NT consumer affairs, the NT licensing board, Travelscene Australia and AMEX since early October when I became suspicious there was fraudulent activity but remained optimistic that a resolution would be found so have not approached the fraud people yet.

Consumer affairs are working with fraud squad very closely. Dianne Allard reported in the paper was taken in January 2011. I have spoken with her, and I trained in library studies with Gayle Carroll, you know how small Darwin can get when something like this happens. My girlfriend booked through her in Sept. and she cruised in January, she paid her trip, must of had enough money at the time of their booking. I kept her in funds on a monthly basis, what a fool, when I look back on it. Just wish Princess had been a little more transparent with the deposit paid I my have twigged that she had not on paid what we had paid her. We will continue to see that she never works in the Travel industry again to ruin anyone elses dreams.
Hope you continue to enjoy your holidays

Found him online enjoying a TCAX holiday on Daydream Island, Maybe that is where she went to escape also. NT News 17/2/2012 reported she visited the police station to escape the journos that found her at her unit. I am hoping they might have jailed her, but don't think I could get that lucky.
Cheers Gay

A Current Affair is showing ads for tonight's program featuring a story on 'Pensioner Travel Scam' & shows a reporter visiting the house of the offender person & saying "we know where she is".

Hopefully the media pressure will result in a favourable outcome for all those who lost money so they get their money back & can still travel on their holidays.
