Hi All
So today I went and did the trip I detailed here: http://www.australianfrequentflyer....elbourne-ladies-with-points-burn-63773-2.html
A few things: First time in Virgin domestic business and VFF rep really made sure I was taken care of. I felt like a proper celebrity.
Morning
MEL-SYD economy reward seat : 7:30am
Started in the MEL lounge for Pancakes and Bacon

Flight up was uneventful. The pancake machine working properly and delivering four large well cooked pancakes was really the highlight. Snack was banana bread which I bought home for hubby.
Arriving at the Lounge in Sydney, I was met by Matt (I believe the SYD Lounge manager), and was greeted by the lovely ladies from ModelCo. Coffee was bought to me, and the make up started! The whole time I really felt at home and at ease. Then it was straight onto hair, after changing into my race day dress and being bought some bubbly!

Once it was all done some photos were taken for social media with Matt and the representative from ModelCo. They're on the Virgin page: https://www.facebook.com/virginaustralia/posts/10152353561431990
I then went to have another glass of bubbly before my flight. I handed my hat over to the lovely lounge ladies for safe transportation to Melbourne. Watched the pre race on the tv and charged up the phone. Felt amazing being so dolled up and travelling, like the glamour was back in flying.
Flew 1A back. I couldn't BELIEVE the legroom. I kept moving my legs around a lot just for the novelty of it all. I've flown first and business before but only international and not for a long time. Unfortunately they didn't have the mocktails before take off which was a bit of a disappointment. The meal was lovely - Lamb something with cheesecake and a vodka and coke. Will post a pic in a new comment.
When I landed at the other end my hat was waiting at the baggage claim, I went back to the Lounge to charge my phone for a bit before heading home.
Now that I'm home - I am SO SO SO thankful to Virgin for making my day just the bit extra special. Thank you also to Velocity Frequent Flyer on here, who I'm sure helped round off the day nicely.
