Food poisoning - ocean trout and potato salad

Anyone else really unwell after flying J with VA today and having the trout?

I am so sick, it's not funny :-(

So how long between eating and feeling sick? Maybe it was something else?

It's usually around 4 to 6 hours at the earliest. Sometimes takes 12 hours for chicken.

It will be unlikely that VA will admit any liability what so ever.
Food poisoning is an interesting one as there is a varied incubation period, so realistically it could have been anything you have had to eat within the last ~72 hours.

Not a nice feeling, and hopefully you are feeling better

Hey thanks for the comments and the sympathy - I've only ever had food poisoning once before after eating bad smoked chicken breasts from the supermarket deli - not a pretty sight!!

Not looking to hang Virgin out to dry, just was interested if anyone else had flown and had the same meal today and was extremely unwell.

Excuse the grossness, but my body is still at 3am, "evacuating" spontaneously from both ends :-(

No more fish and potato salad in J for me - but I suppose it could happen with anything really. We just don't know what happens with these meals before they end up on the aircraft.

Potato salad is always one that I avoid

Bacon
Egg
Sour Cream
Mayonaise

Lots of high-risk items there, that if not handled properly/kept cold enough will end in "explosions from both ends"
