For me at least. I think I now have just on 4k points left.

I also have 8 x 2 x J reward (pts/pay) between now and May.

No real reason, just an accounting reason.
They can book the profit on them now they're redeemed.

Back OT, I used most of mine during the 50% upgrades last year. Didn't fly a single Y sector on DJ for about six months, and for less than Y on QF.

I should add, I think they may have incurred a little extra liability with some of their points + pay specials of late.

My balance is certainly a lot smaller after redeeming a few rewards seats at the same time as flying others in my group on flexi fares with the complimentary upgrades to J.

I'm struggling with trying to work out points and SCs due to these flights. Very odd situations given some of the info about SCs here on AFF. I think I'll end up with about 2100 SCs, so not far off companion gold *, provided they all post as expected..... to which I'm not overly confident.

As for points accrual.....I'll just wait and see what lobs!

* note- I'm assuming companion gold can be requested following my qual @ 1000, then requal @ a further 800 and then a final 500 for CG?
