Virgin Australia launches new iPhone smartphone app - Australian Business Traveller

I've only had a little play round so far and it seems like it'll be very useful.

Mine worked fine from the get-go and I've got a iPhone 5 too. Maybe just delete and reinstall.

I don't find it quite as responsive as other airline apps (Air NZ, Qantas, etc), but it still works well and does most things I need it for.

What I meant is that it's not optimised for the iPhone 6/6+ with the larger screens.

Great app.

Works better than the VA website.


Still have to go to the website to change family pooling etc, but other than that it's a 8/10.

Clicking anything in the "My Benefits" section links you to the "Arrivals Departures Flight search" page on the website - G-Glitch...

Anyone been able to download to iPad? App says it's suitable for iPad, but it doesn't appear in the App Store on my iPad (Air 2 iOS 9.2).

VA customers may well be iPhone centric, however it's not difficult to launch all platforms at the same time.

I'd hardly call 53.1% to 37.8% 'dominated'. Australia's iPhone fascination hits Samsung, Sony and Android sales | afr.com

I see a lot more Apple users on flights than Android users as a rule. The same holds true in the USA, where Android does have a substantial market lead over iOS.

don't worry, all is well... or at least "normal" - it keeps reporting that I have 0 points and 0 status, despite being halfway to WP requalification.

I managed to book a flight using the new App and find it works fine on iPhone 6+. You do have to be careful to change month when selecting dates. I nearly bought a ticket for tomorrow until it bombed out!
