Given the current signing deal thought I'd pose the question as to best ways to use up those points?,

If you have a plus one you could harvest 110,000,20,000 and 110,000 so that is 240,000. Now that widens the opportunity.

It does indeed and now my credit score is back up a bit its viable too!

I also have about 125,000 velocity points and it had never occurred to me to do this (convert to Krisflyer and travel Suites). Can anybody who has expertise in this area tell me (all of us!) what the availability is like for this sort of thing? I mean, do we have to book 12 months in advance like QF? SIN to NRT for example.

If you have a KF account you can log in and search for award seats even without the required points in your account.

Hi all,

Just signed up for the 110K points yesterday and was trying to find some insight into velocity redemptions so thought I'd post here [mods please feel free to move this post if there is a more appropriate location for this question].

Trying to find flights from MEL - EU next year in May/June 2016 and it seems that all the Business Saver options are either sold out or greyed out and not selectable? Is this common? Is there a timing issue to be aware off when looking at a velocity redemption? Would love to take EY from Melb to EU but can't seem to find any availability. Any thoughts or insights around this? Thanks
