I'm newly a WP (still awaiting card) and received an email this afternoon about a new feature called a Progress Dashboard.

It gives you a visual guide to see how you are going at requalifying WP based on SC & required sectors.

Is this new? Is it a thing other levels get also?

I haven't seen it yet. Although OZ have had a similar "dashboard" to track your qualification/requal for several years now so this so I have seen it elsewhere.

Cool feature though. I hope it gets rolled out across the board.

The email says I have it but I can't find it on my account.

I think you will find its part of the monthly email only. Pity it does not take into account bookings, it would be far more useful.

Not seen it but it does look good !!

As a newly minted silver, I received a similar email yesterday and I must say: what a confusing, illogical piece of misinformation!!

Similar to erkpod, I went looking on my account because I simply could not believe that the information it contained "Based on your flown activities to date, you are tracking to ..[maintain silver by 19 June 2015]". As the email says "For complete details on how you are tracking, login to your Account."

Well, I was expecting the Daddy of a Dial in my Account. Nope, ust the usual tables of current earn and what to do to upgrade to next level ... tabulated information I can use ....

1. That I need 230SCs to achieve Gold by 16 Oct 2014

2. That on my current spend, I'll achieve that by end of August (I worked that out myself, Mr Dashboard!!)

3. ergo That on my "current spend", silver will be a mere memory by 19 June 2015 let alone a "maintain".

Surely if VA are going to send out these emails, they should be targeting to encourage you to be striving for the next level (sorry WPs!!) not coming up with some tool (apt description) which confuses and suggests you're no better than you're current status.

Regards,

BD

I received a very thoughtful email from VA yesterday

Congratulations, you have successfully maintained your Gold membership.

Shortly after your Review Date on 30 November 2014, we will send you a new Gold membership pack. This pack will include your new membership card so you can enjoy Gold benefits for a further 12 months.

But why stop now? You can take your membership to the next level - Platinum, and enjoy more exclusive benefits when your Status Credit balance reaches 1,000 and you have flown 8 Eligible Sectors.

I qualified WP for the first time in May. It's now mid July & I've got 160 SC & 4 sectors to requalify WP - thank you DSC SYD - AUH - SYD!

I was sent this progress dashboard a couple of days ago.

Have you looked at that meter in respect of your SC's earned in the prior 12 months?

I'd have some SC coming off next in August. I can only look at the meter itself when it comes in an email.

I was thinking more in terms of how many SC's were earned in the 12 months leading up to the email date.

But looking back up thread, it may be moot.
