As I write this, ground crews in HNL are filling up VH-YFC with fuel, on its way to BNE via NAN flying as VBH9080.

The aircraft is painted in all white.

I'm keen to hear what everybody thinks of the BSI, as Boeing are making it sound like a big deal.

Personally, I think the 737 interior is starting to show its age, particually when you tilt your head up. Having larger overhead compartments, LED lighting (Mood lighting on Virgin?) and the feel of a more spacious cabin appeal to me. Nearly all of my Domestic flights are on 737's, so stepping onto a moden aircraft would improve my experience onboard. :)

What does everybody think?

Yes definitely - the DJ 738 I was on last night was in desperate need of a makeover...

It wont get one from DJ, they sell them before a refit is needed, with the exception of the new aircraft that have arrived pre-SKY in the last year.

I want to hear from the first person that gets to fly this plane :)

When DJ finally launches their new domestic product on the 737, this is the plane that should be used.

New livery
New interiors (Sky Interior)
Mood lighting
New Seating
IFE
Business Class

I think that would be great!

Qantas will also have the Sky Interior on it's new 737-800 this year (I think one or two won't for whatever reason)

As hard as I try I just cant seem to find any excitement over some new plastc moulding and a few LEDs. its still a 737, which lets face it arent the sexiest jets in the world.

Perhaps, but I find the current 737's just very very old feeling inside.

Step inside an A320 and it feels newer, due to the panels and lighting!

I flew on this aircraft's second commercial flight this morning on DJ 366 from TSV to BNE (BNE-TSV was its first flight). I had a Premium Economy ticket and was seated in 2A. It did have that 'new car smell' about it. The carpet and upholstery is a darkish grey colour with nothing given away about the new branding. Rows 1 and 2 are in the PE seat pitch configuration but are not PE seating. They are the standard 3 x 3 Y seats, not convertible and standard width. The seats themselves are comfortable enough and appear to be the modern slim line design of cushioning. The adjustable head rest is a much welcome addition. There is no IFE and we were told that it has not been installed yet:?: but they did have Digeplayers for PE pax. I do quite like the new sky interior. It just seems to open up the cabin so much and gives the impression of being more spacious than the older style interiors. Be careful of the overhead lockers though if they are open and you are getting out of the window or middle seats as they are the drop down style of locker.
We only got to experience the blue lighting and it is nice how it the cabin darkens for takeoff but no chance to see the change to orange and red etc for meal times. Maybe on the longer flights. Overall the Premium Economy experience was underwhelming, again, and I do question why you bring aircraft on line when they are clearly not readyor continue to sell tickets for a product you can't deliver, I know this is all about the rebranding etc but I seem to be having a very poor run of flights lately with no PE capability. The FA did advise us that DJ Guest Services would be in touch with us in the next day or so to sort it out but really I could save my self several hundred dollars and buy an exit row seat only and have the same experience (less $20 or so worth of complimentary food and drink):-|

Do a search on rogue aircraft, with the removal of PE no more aircraft are being delivered with it until J is launched for the 737.

Wow, I love the look of the seats! Looking forward to the 2nd half of the year doing more DJ flying!

Well spotted Liam. That looks really nice.

Actually, every man and their dog on the internet is reposting your pics. Seems the curiosity level is very high.

Hence why I would like to get onto a 737 with the new interior. I think that it would make a nice change from the regular 737s.

Personally, the A320s don't feel any newer/better to me.

I was wondering the same thing, pictures weren't showing up for me last night either. (assuming they were meant to be included within this particular thread???)

I was asked to remove them by one of the staff onboard, however it hasen't stopped someone else from finding a copy and publishing them.:!:

So they have old layout, rogue layout (with no IFE), BSI layout (with no IFE) and whatever is in the A330… nice and consistent!

Just out of curiosity, why? They were taken on board an aircraft that's in service - there's plenty of photos of active aircraft inside and out around here.

Presumably because they had faces of the staff in one of them..?

However if you want to see the exact same pictures - with a couple of faces blanked out, they are now viewable here:

I can't believe that someone has the nerve to troll thru AFF looking for things to post online to get hits, without sourcing AFF or any user. Wow.

Sorry, i assumed from your earlier comment that you'd provided them. Those pics have been circulated on several forums already (see my comment yesterday). The version in those pics may have come from any one of a number of forums where they were cross posted by others.

Ironically, they have been removed from here but still widely available elsewhere. If you're unhappy the person in question has posted his email address if you want to take it up with him and i'm happy to edit my earlier post so he doesn't benefit from the link.
