Just wondering if anyone has used this or similar and has any feedback:

SKROSS World Adapter Classic USB - In Sky Shopping

Looks like it is one of the most flexible types out there, reasonably priced ($35) and appears to be of good quality. Plus 1 QFF point per dollar.

Here is the official site:

World Adapter Classic USB - Unearthed-2-pole - SKROSS

I can see some cheap ones on ebay but I'm not sure about the quality and the risk to my laptop, phone, etc when travelling.
I already have separate EU, UK and US adaptors and to consolidate them into one seems like a good idea, especially if I am travelling through multiple regions on the one trip.

Would it be worth getting a three pole device?

What's the significance between the "different plug standard" between the Pro and Pro+ ?

I've used a similar device branded by Kensington (and branding seems to be the key price differentiator), used it how many times = once.

Why? Bulky, flimsy, and only works well if you plug it vertically into a powerpoint, if you try and hang it off a wall socket, the weight of the adapter itself is a problem let alone any hanging cable off it.

As Markis has pointed out, the USB output isn't good enough for many modern products, the latest iPad will only get trickle charged off that. My Asus Transformer power adapter produces 5v at 2A or 15V at 1.2A, a very power hungry tablet that requires proprietry adapters :(

The USB function is becoming more important, it means you dont need chargers for the phone and pad etc. Not sure on how flimsy it is, am going to buy one in the next day or two for my own use.

Awesome, would appreciate if you could post a mini review once you get it - was only looking in a hurry because I need a Japanese one for next week, but turns out I have a friend who is going to lend me one.
Ultimately looking to replace them all with one that is robust and versatile enough to take everywhere.

Have used that *design* for many years (It is OEM'd by so many different companies), ranging from Swiss Travel Product's version to an extremely cheap clone (or maybe same production line) similar to Universal Travel Power Plug Adapter with USB Adapter - Black - Free Shipping - DealExtreme

The QF website has a typo, it should be 1000mA I think.

My general review is that it is pretty heavy and difficult to use at times (esp. wall plugs). Many adapters are heavy though.... And I rarely see ones that would work with those really low sockets that some hotels love that basically are on the skirtingboard of the wall.

Some devices won't accept a UK three pin plug due to them not being grounded (ie the 3rd pole). Really if a plug does use three pins, you should have it grounded...

I bought one and am not a fan. My old adapter let me charge something thru the main plug and also something via the USB. This one only lets me do one or the other....

I take it your referring to the SKROSS one, as the AFF option allows USB and AC at the same time.

Did you end up getting one markis?

I would be interested in peoples reviews of the AFF one, cheers

Bump - any update on this, or anyone who has used one (or similar) recently?
